Learn More about Cape of Good Hope

Cape of Good Hope is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Africa

What is Cape of Good Hope and where is it ?

The Cape of Good Hope is the end of the world in South Africa. Contrary to popular belief, it is not the southernmost point on the continent, but the Cape of Needles.

To get to Cape Point, the country's southernmost promontory, one must travel down the Cape Peninsula, which cuts a path between the Atlantic Ocean and False Bay. This peninsula is part of the Table Mountain National Park.

What to do at the Cape of Good Hope?

A DREAM DAY AT THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE - SOUTH AFRICA

This is actually a large nature reserve.
Contrary to popular belief, it is not the southernmost point of Africa, the latter being Cape Agulhas a little further east. However, the place remains grandiose.
You will come across a lot of wildlife: zebras, antelopes, ostriches, baboons, etc.

There are two capes: the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. We advise you to go to the first one first and then walk to Cape Point with a short picnic break on the beach between them.
Cape Point is the site of the lighthouse. From the top of the promontory, the feeling of being at the end of the world is very present and you can almost see the separation between the two oceans: it's quite a magical moment. The winds are usually quite strong.

Why not take a guided tour or a day trip with a guide?
